After a week of wet, dreary weather in the San Francisco bay area, the 2010 AMA Supercross series rolled through town on Saturday night to launch round number four under beautifully clear skies.

The Dirt Wurx track crew did an outstanding job of prepping the track within AT&T Park, and Red Bull riders Davi Millsaps and Wil Hahn took full advantage!

In the Lites class, TLD/Lucas Oil/Honda’s Hahn went straight to work, posting the second fastest overall lap during the timed qualifying session. From there, Hahn motored through heat number one to qualify in the fifth spot, and then set his sights on the main event.

After a rough start, Hahn completed lap number one in a dismal twelfth position but put his head down to mount an impressive charge toward the front. After 14 more rotations around the tricky San Francisco circuit, Hahn piloted his Red Bull-backed Honda all the way up to fourth place!

His result in S.F. positions Hahn securely in the third spot in the championship points standings. Behind Hahn, Red Bull teammate Cole Seely put in a great effort, as well, ending the night in a solid fifth place in the main event.

In the premier Supercross class, the Honda Red Bull Racing squad of Millsaps and Andrew Short also turned in a great night of racing in S.F. After convincingly winning his heat race by a 14 second margin, Shorty went on to finish fifth in the main.

Ahead of Short, teammate Millsaps had his best race of the season, charging his Red Bull-backed Honda to a very impressive third-place podium finish!

The series heads south to San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium next weekend, so stay tuned as the Red Bull Honda riders continue their quest for race wins!
