New York Red Bulls welcome Juventus to the Red Bull Arena this Sunday, and the Italian giants have confirmed a strong squad for the game.

Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet and Diego will all make the trip to North America, ensuring that the Red Bulls will face a tough test. Del Piero finished last season as the club’s top scorer and has been floated as a possible transfer target for the New York club.

After a disappointing season in Serie A, Juve will also be without a manager for the match after temporary boss Alberto Zacheroni left the club following the final game of the season against Milan. Former Sampdoria boss Luigi Del Neri has been confirmed as the club’s new boss, but won’t take up his new post until July 1.

By contrast to their Italian opponents, the Red Bulls have enjoyed a successful start to their 2010 campaign, and currently sit on top of the Eastern Conference with 15 points from their eight games. Juan Pablo Angel is currently the club’s top scorer with four goals as they head into a top-of-the-table clash against Columbus Crew on Thursday.

Red Bull New York Managing Director Erik Stover is delighted his side will get to take on the 27-time Italian champions. “Since opening Red Bull Arena, we have been committed to bringing in elite clubs from around the world to play in what we consider to be the best soccer-specific stadium in North America," he said.

“With its storied history and multiple championships, Juventus certainly fits in with this vision. They are a prestigious club with a tremendous following around the world and we are excited to host them at our brand new home.”

The Red Bulls have also confirmed a friendly against Brazilian side Cruzeiro on June 18, and are also set to welcome Tottenham, Manchester City and Sporting Lisbon for a friendly tournament starting on July 22. Meanwhile, The Old Lady (Juventus) will continue their tour of North America after Sunday’s game with a match against Fiorentina in Toronto, Canada on May 25.
