Unstoppable would be the perfect word to describe JCR/Honda/Red Bull’s Kendall Norman and his domination of the 2010 D-37 series. Winning 18 of 20 races this season led Kendall to his first-ever Open Expert Championship.
For Kendall, claiming the championship came at the Slash-X Café in Barstow, California, as the Sunland Shamrocks MC Club put on a “Dual-Duel” European-style scramble. With two races a day for two days, it was set to be a challenge for all the racers as the temperatures blazed well into the 100s.
Norman, the desert ace from Santa Barbara, ripped holeshot after holeshot on the competition, leading wire-to-wire for the weekend’s first three races. The final race of the weekend gave Kendall some trouble, as his competition tried everything they had to dethrone the master, but Norman prevailed on the challenging course and emerged with the number-one plate.
Kendall now sets his sights on the final two rounds of the AMA National Hare and Hound series held in Lucerne Valley, California on October 10th and 24th.
