Robbie Maddison has performed his most death-defying stunt to date, jumping more than 278 feet over the Corinth Canal in Greece!

The Red Bull X-Fighter cleared the ravine which separates the Peloponnesian peninsula from the Greek mainland in a spectacular jump.

Failure was not an option!

"The first obstacle I had to overcome was my fear." –Maddo

"Jumping across the Corinth Canal became, in my mind, a challenge I just could not resist," he said.

“This jump involved the highest consequences I have faced so far, so the first obstacle I had to overcome was my fear."

The daredevil has already jumped across Tower Bridge in London and, after adding the Corinth Canal to his list of accomplishments, is now thinking about his next challenge!

“I believe you have to take risks in life to become wiser. Facing a challenge like this will help get me ready for the next feat I will face. I am thrilled I managed to pull it off – as you know there is only one opportunity to get it right!"

Look for Maddo to shine in Mexico City on April 16th at the opening stop of the 2010 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour.
