Com Truise Drops New Single, Plots Latest Release
Com Truise has been one of our favorite artists ever since the Movement Electronic Music Festival in 2011, when he rocked the early afternoon crowd at the Red Bull Music Academy stage. Naturally, we were excited to see the New Jersey-based synth-melt master drop a new track, “Open.” It’s the precursor to his forthcoming release “In Decay,” due July 17 via Ghostly International.
Justice Surprise With “New Lands” EP
It was news when Justice, the French electro duo, announced their remix EP “New Lands.” A companion piece to last year’s “Audio, Video, Disco” LP, the five-track affair offers remixes by A-Trak, Falcon and SebastiAn, plus a live recording of the track. Stream the A-Trak remix below.
Interpol’s Paul Banks New EP Out Today
When Paul Banks isn’t fronting Interpol, he’s recording under the name Julian Plenti. He dropped a solo album in 2009, and now Banks is back with a quick-hit “Julian Plenti Lives” EP, featuring two originals and three covers (including J Dilla’s “Mythsysizer” and Frank Sinatra’s “I’m A Fool To Want You”). You can download the original “Summertime Is Coming” via Matador.
Jens Lekman Shares “Erica America” Video
Filmed in one fluid shot, Jens Lekman’s “Erica America” video -- off the upcoming “I Know What Love Isn’t” -- is a stripped-down affair that features Lekman and his backing band -- and little else. It’s a simple piece of cinematography that caters to the beauty of Lekman’s arrangements, yet leaves us wanting more in the best way possible.
