Red Bull EmSee: The Road to 8 Mile is a freestyle rap battle of sight and sound, curated and directed by Eminem. The national battle series features the rawest lyricists competing for the honor of being named the illest MC in the country. We have the scoop on everything you need to know, and there will be even more to come.
How Do I Get Into the Battle?
Despite the fact that you may be the illest MC on your block and may have crushed an MC or two in your school-ground cyphers, you may not be able to compete in Red Bull EmSee: The Road to 8 Mile. Participants are chosen by a panel of industry experts based on their skill and reputation – those chosen get a special invitation. If you think you should be a part of this exclusive mix of MCs, email email@example.com.

Speaking of Eminem
Eminem’s seventh major label studio album, Recovery, includes the single “Not Afraid,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April (his third career #1 single). The album also features guest appearances by Lil Wayne (‘No Love’), Rihanna (‘Love the Way You Lie’) and P!NK (‘Won’t Back down’). For Eminem, the biggest selling artist of the 2000s, Recovery kicks off the 2010s by following last year’s Relapse, the #1-charting winner of the Best Rap Album Grammy and the best-selling rap album of 2009. Eminem has sold more than 80,000,000 albums worldwide and has won 11 Grammy Awards.
