Pastrana Keeps the Streak Alive

VT Sports Car

In the past three years, the Rally America championship has been decided on the last round, by the narrowest of margins.  In 2009, Travis Pastrana returned to action with nothing but winning on his mind. After taking 4 of the first 6 rounds, Travis entered the Ojibwe Forests Rally with the mathematical possibility to clinch his fourth-straight championship. Wasting no time, Travis capitalized on a mechanical malfunction from teammate Ken Block, chalking up a nine-minute lead.  Cruising to victory, Travis wiped the pressure off his brow with a spray of champagne.

Travis has firmly established himself as the most successful driver in the Rally America series by virtue of 15 individual wins and now a total of four consecutive championships.  What's next? Be sure to keep you eyes on Travis this New Year's Eve as he attempts the longest distance jump in a rally car for Red Bull: New Year. No Limits.
