Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Red Bull Honda rider Ben Townley has confirmed that he will indeed line up for the upcoming United States Grand Prix to be held at Glen Helen Raceway this weekend.

The former World MX and AMA Supercross Lites Champion considers many of the GP riders and regulars good friends, as he spent the first part of his professional career touring the GP circuits before heading to the U.S. to chase AMA championships.

"I love the GPs," Ben explains enthusiastically. "Some of my best friends are over there racing that series, and I was really looking forward to competing in the first few rounds this year. Unfortunately that didn't work out, but I was pumped when I heard that they were bringing a round to the U.S.

"I really enjoy the track at Glen Helen and I knew straight away that I was going to race it if I felt like I was ready. I'm really looking forward to it."

Fans attending the event are encouraged to stop by the Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Red Bull Honda transporter to pick up a custom poster and say hello to Ben.
