On 29 July at famous Metekhi bridge in Tbilisi, Georgia the best one-on-one streetballer of Georgia was decided. Vato Tevzadze came out as a winner of Red Bull King of the Rock 2012 – Tbilisi qualifier and got the ticket to the Rock, scoring 6:4 against George Jgerenaia.

The day started at 6 p.m. on two courts. Despite extreme hot weather the crowd filled the ranks starting from 4 p.m. 64 top streetball players from Georgia were ready to show their skills to choose the best one who will make it to the world final in Alcatraz.

Narikala castle, Metekhi Church and beautiful old Tbilisi landmarks were perfect surroundings for the competition. Performance of local B-Boys and HipHop artists during the show added more spice to the event and kept the players encouraged. The professional and well known Georgian basketball players were also there to support and motivate the competitors.

The final battle between Vato Tevzadze and George Jgerenaia, who was considered as a number one player of the competition, was super dramatic and full of emotions. Vato scored at the last second being the best crunch time shooter of the whole event.

It was a great basketball day for Tbilisi – the celebration of sportive excitement and passion ended by the final rain.
