New York Red Bulls v Manchester City (16x9)

The New York Red Bulls welcomed Tottenham Hotspur, Sporting Clube de Portugal and Manchester City to the Red Bull Arena for the Barclays New York Challenge last week, watch the highlights of all four games here…

The first game of the tournament marked Thierry Henry’s debut for the Red Bulls as he faced some familiar foes in Tottenham. The former France striker marked the occasion with a goal but his team-mates were unable to hold on as second-half goals from Robbie Keane and Gareth Bale ensured victory for the English Premier League side.

Sporting then put themsleves in the box seat for the New York Challenge title as they brushed aside Man City. Two first-half goals from Yannick Djaló were enough to see off the men from Manchester and put Sporting top.

Spurs captain Robbie Keane was again on target against Sporting, as he opened the scoring in the first half. Goals from Matias Fernandez and Jaime Valdes then put the Portuguese side ahead before Jonathan Obika levelled things up late on.

In the final game of the tournament, a Dane Richards-inspired Red Bulls side got the better of Man City to finish third. Richards was the provider as Macoumba Kandji got the home side off to a flying start before he lashed in a second-half winner after Emmanuel Adebayor had equalised for the tourists.
