Although he's best known for his landmark double-frontflip - landed for the first time ever at X Games in 2009 - Anthony Napolitan has been knocking out innovative tricks on the front lines of BMX dirt for years. The two-time X Games medalist and '06 BMX Dirt Dew Tour champion recently returned from a tour of Iraq where he and a crew of riders entertained the troops, and that's just a small taste of the adventures he's had thanks to BMX.
When not on the road, Anthony takes a breather at his home near Woodward Camp in Pennsylvania, tricking out his car or getting some fresh ink, which you'll learn more about in this list of his favorite things...
Favorite movie:
I love movies, so it's hard for me to pick. I really enjoy psychological thriller movies like Inception, Shutter Island, Fight Club, Vanilla Sky, etc.
Favorite book:
I really don't get to read all that often. In fact, I hate reading because I'm too A.D.D. haha! The only thing I ever really read are BMX magazines and modern art/home-type magazines.

Favorite TV show:
My all-time favorite show is Nip/Tuck! Sadly it's not on TV anymore, but I met Kimber (Kelly Carlson - pictured at left) once and I almost died! I love her haha!
Favorite magazine:
I really enjoy any BMX magazine, such as RideBMX, BMX Plus, Dig, Ride UK, etc. I also enjoy reading the pages of Dwell magazine.
Favorite song or artist:
I'm into every genre of music. I'm currently listening to Slayer, AFI, Small Brown Bike and other random music I used to listen to when I was growing up riding.
Favorite animal:
I have a Bull Terrier. I've always wanted a bully because they're so cool-looking. Now that I own one I also realize how cool their personalities are. Her name is Sparrow and she is the coolest dog in the world!
Favorite color:
I've always claimed that my favorite color is blue, and I'm gonna stick to it.
I'm a Cowboys fan at heart but this year I was rooting for the Eagles.
Favorite holiday:
I love Thanksgiving because I love food! It's the only time of the year that I set aside eating bad things and go all out. This year I had Thanksgiving dinner three times in a row in one day with 30-minute intervals.
Favorite tech gadget:
I love Mac products! So my phone is number one, and I'd say that my iPad comes next. I pretty much quit using my laptop because the iPad is so easy to take anywhere.
Favorite thing to eat:
I love mac and cheese! It's like a weakness for me. But I really love eating vegetarian and vegan food, although I am not either.
Favorite thing to wear:
Currently, since it's winter where I live, I love to wear my DC Snowboard jacket. I hate being cold. I also have a couple of winter Red Bull hats that I sport around town.

Favorite place to be:
Every time I've gone to Whistler, BC, I've had an amazing time! I think I may just love the Northwest. Portland, Oregon is awesome too!
Favorite way to indulge or treat/reward yourself:
Going to the chiropractor is the perfect way for me to treat or indulge myself haha! After an event sometimes I feel a little out of wack. Chiro always helps me get back and feeling good!
Favorite times to get up/go to bed:
I really like being on an early-rise and early-bed schedule. The best is when you can get a late bed and still have an early rise! I just like being and staying motivated to get things done.
Favorite thing to spend money on:
I spend a lot of money on my car (pictured below) and tattoos. I consider my car and tattoos winter projects, because in the summer I don't have time for anything but traveling and riding. So that's when I get to spend a little bit of money on myself.

Favorite thing to do in your free time:
Honestly, sit and relax. I never get to chill out, so when I get the chance I take advantage of it. I only need a minimal charge, too; after that I'm off for another month, traveling and having fun on my bike.
Favorite Red Bull product (regular, sugarfree, energy shot, cola):
I really like them all! The shots are rad because there isn't any carbonation in them, and the Cola tastes amazing!

Usually right before I ride.
Favorite thing about your sport:
My favorite thing about BMX is being able to accomplish something that you want to do. I love the feeling of self gratification when you land a trick for the first time or pull a line off in the skatepark that you've never done before. Also, traveling the world and meeting people. It's unreal where a little BMX bike can take you sometimes.
Favorite sport other than your own:
I've been super into football this year. Sounds kind of lame but I'm addicted at the moment. I used to play up until I was about 14, then I found BMX. I'm a dedicated Cowboys fan at heart but this year I was rooting for the Eagles.
Favorite celebrity or sports star:
I've met a good handful of celebrities and sports stars. I think that Pink was my favorite one to meet because my friend who knows her told her to full-out punch me in the back as hard as she could. And she did... After that we had a super long conversation while watching skateboarding on the MegaRamp.
My favorite sports star is Lonie Paxton. He used to play for the Patriots but now plays for the Broncos. He's the special teams long snapper and he is super down with BMX. The legendary Lonie Paxton Trails (which Anthony is riding in the photo at the top of the page) used to be in his backyard. I love that dude. Not only is he a great athlete but he's a great friend, too.
Favorite people to ride with:
I love riding with everyone. Ronnie Napolitan, Seth Klinger, Corey Bohan, Heath Pinter, Nasty, Parslow, Adam Aloise, Drew Bezanson... The list would go on if I were to keep this up.
Favorite thing in your house or apartment:
I have a few things that I love in my house. I love my trophies from competing and all the art work that I've bought from my tattoo artist, Don McDonald. Those things just make me feel at home because it's me.
Favorite thing about your life:
Being able to have the opportunities that come my way, having great family and friends, being able to do what I love to do and it actually supporting me. I'm a lucky human being.
