We have to admit, we got a few goosebumps watching the trailer for "Bones Brigade: An Autobiography," which dropped yesterday.
While the previous teaser for the documentary focused on the rivalry between skaters Tony Hawk and Christian Hosoi, the new trailer is more of an overview, touching on Hawk's early career, Rodney Mullen's difficult childhood and most of all, what skateboarding meant for each member of the famous Bones Brigade crew, which leads to a few Steve Caballero tears.
Since the film's premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, director Stacy Peralta has been traveling with "Bones Brigade," hitting cities across North America for limited engagement screenings, often with several members of the Bones Brigade in tow. At a screening in New York City last month, he was joined by Rodney Mullen, Christian Hosoi, Lance Mountain and Mike McGill.
Peralta said in an interview with RedBullUSA.com in July that the movie would be available for download on the Bones Brigade website in early October (as well as on DVD).
"I’m very excited with the road we’re taking with this film. It looks like we are going to self-release theatrically and make a deal with a company called Topspin Media that is going to manage our entire presence on the web," he said.
We can't wait.
