A day after dropping cliffs, spines and chutes, the competitors made their way over to the Mandatory Air run on Silverton Mountain where two custom-built features and four jumps beckoned their arrival. Both the men and women brought their A-game as virgin landings and blue skies made for a perfect day on course.

Pep Fujas stepped up early as the first skier to take on the Mine Cart rail feature, following it up with a giant 360 off the Mando Mine jump. Other skiers to simply go huge were 17-year-old Logan Pehota with a massive 720 off the hip and Sean Pettit with a switch 540 that he landed so deep it looked like he was trying to set a new distance record.

Andy Mahre was the only competitor to trick the Mine Cart rail as he spun 270 off. Both Wiley Miller and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa showed their creativity as Wiley threw a stylish nose butter to 720 off the cornice while Sage was the only skier to hit four features in a single run.

Standouts on the women’s side included Rachael Burks as she put together a clean line, airing off the step-up and transferring over the knuckle before sending the biggest backflip of the day off the Castle jump. Jackie Paaso 50/50’d the Mine Cart rail, spun a 360 off the Mondo Mine jump and followed it up with a frontflip off the Castle jump.

The fun didn’t end there though -- once the competition was over, the athletes were heli’d back to the top of the course where they all dropped in at the same time for a free run.

While the athletes will begin voting for the best overall Men’s and Women’s skier tomorrow, fans can begin voting for their favorite competitor today. Check out the daily voting videos on the Red Bull Cold Rush site to catch the action and vote for the athlete who you think laid down the sickest lines, threw the most bad-ass tricks, and stomped the biggest landings during the competition.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award will win an additional $1,000 thanks to your vote. Voting begins today and continues through March 26th where the winner will be announced on the website.
