DJ Jelly after winning Red Bull Thre3style Atlanta Red Bull Media House North America, Inc.

If you walked into Opera Nightclub in Atlanta during Red Bull Thre3style, you probably thought you had just fast forwarded to your weekend. With a crowded dance floor, bottles poppin’, and an audience filled with continuous energy, it was probably hard to think about going to work the next morning.

Eight of Atlanta’s best DJ’s – DJ Jelly, DJ Martina McFlyy, DJ Justin KO, DJ Tron, SPEAKERFOXXX, DJ EU, DJ Forge, DJ Chris Rimby – delivered performances people will be talking about for weeks but it was DJ Jelly who stole the show and will advance to the national Red Bull Thre3Style finals that will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada later this year. “I can’t wait to bring a little edge to Vegas,” says DJ Jelly, “I want to shake it up a bit and give them a little taste of what the ATL is all about.”

Each hand-selected contestant had 15 minutes to mix three different genres of music in hopes of winning over the judges and the crowd. Judged on song selections, creativity, skill, swagger, and audience reaction, each DJ brought everything they had to the stage in hopes of winning this competition. Celebrity and industry leaders made up the judges panel with artist manager and S.K.A.M Artist founder, Sujit Kundu, Creative Loafing music writer, Chad Radford, and party starter extraordinaire, Z-Trip, taking to the stage immediately following the competition to keep the crowd going.

DJ Jelly will fly to Las Vegas this November for the National Red Bull Thre3Style Championship. The winner there will head to Vancouver, British Columbia, to compete in the global finals against the world’s best party-rocking DJs in hopes of being crowned the 2011 Red Bull Thre3Style World Champion.
