Forest Bailey chrisoconnell.com/Red Bull Photofiles

Originally from Vermont and now calling Lake Tahoe home, Forest Bailey is one of the hottest young talents in snowboarding right now. Bringing a skate style with him to the snow, it's no surprise he spends plenty of time on both types of boards.

But what does he do the rest of the time? Well, things like hiking, camping and the Grateful Dead are on his faves list, but don't get the wrong idea - he's not afraid of a good steak, either. He took the time to run through our Friday Favorites as the snow season ramps up, so check it out below and get ready to see a lot more of this kid...

Favorite movie:
Flip’s Extremely Sorry. David Gonazalez is so sick, he's got the illest style. RIP Shane Cross.

Favorite book:
Hmm, I’m not too big of a reader, but Shel Silverstein’s book, The Giving Tree, is the best.

Favorite TV show:
I hardly ever watch TV, but if I had to choose, I'd choose It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Those guys are insane. Definitely one of the funniest and weirdest shows on TV.

The freedom you feel skating down the street is insane! It gives you the feeling that everything is possible.

Favorite magazine:
Snowboarder magazine. Bridges, T-bird and the rest of the staff kill it. Always fun to hang out with those dudes. That and Thrasher.

Favorite song or artist:
Grateful Dead. It runs in the family.

Favorite animal:
Panthers, especially Bagheera from The Jungle Book. He's always saving Mowgly!

Favorite color:
Green, the color of the Forest. Ha!

Favorite holiday:
New year’s; party, party, party!

Favorite tech gadget:
iPhone; I can’t get off that damn thing, but it helps my life in a huge way!

Favorite thing to eat:
Steak. Can't get enough of that beef; add some béarnaise sauce, mashed potatoes and a salad… I could eat that meal forever.

Favorite thing to wear:
Gnarlyclothes.com. They make the nicest street wear; Keegan and John are just getting it started up, but it’s about to blow up. Also check out Givinvids.com, it's so sick!

Favorite place to be:
On the road. I freak out if I'm in one place for too long. Snowboarding is a great way to keep it fresh and stay on the move!

Favorite way to indulge or treat/reward yourself:
Eating well; enjoying life to the fullest; buying myself presents; a Bull or a beer.

Favorite times to get up/go to bed:
Get up 8:30, eat a bomb breakfast, enjoy my day, eat a bomb dinner and pass out by 11:30.

Favorite thing to spend money on:
Things at thrift shops. You can find the sweetest random stuff in those places, they are everywhere, and they're mad cheap. I buy a lot of clothes from thrift shops. I also try to add to my hat collection.

Favorite thing to do in your free time:
Skateboard, hang with good friends, hike to high elevations, take photos, travel.

Favorite Red Bull product (regular, sugarfree, energy shot, cola):
Regular, that’s my jam.

Favorite time for a Red Bull:
Before shredding and before a night on the town. It’s the perfect thing to wake you up and get you ready for whatever is in store.

Favorite thing about your sport:
Traveling to great places and meeting great people, and doing pretty much whatever I want when I want. Filming, taking photos, and also keeping it mellow and just enjoying all the amazing qualities of snowboarding.

Favorite sport other than your own:
Skateboarding. The freedom you feel skating down the street is insane! It gives you the feeling that everything is possible. It’s also the most technical sport and the funnest thing in the world!

Favorite celebrity or sports star:
They are all weird.

Favorite people to ride with:
Will Bateman, Johnny Lazz, Dylan Alito - they’re some of the Tahoe homies I shred with, but I love riding with everybody!

Favorite thing in your house or apartment:
My porch. It’s a great place to chill after a long day. That and my couch; when I'm not traveling I'm in veg mode on my couch.

Favorite thing about your life:
Everything! I love what I do. I wouldn't change a thing.
