Jay Z at the Barclays Center welcoming 2013

We're barely into 2013 and Jay-Z has already been busy. He rang in the new year with a concert at the Barclays Center with Coldplay. Judging by the plethora of videos on YouTube (watch one below) it was even more fun than it sounds.

Now comes news that Jay-Z will co-score the upcoming Leonardo DiCaprio vehicle 'The Great Gatsby,' according to a tweet from Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts a couple of days ago.

"Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!" tweeted Samuel.

The most recent trailer for 'The Great Gatsby' featured the Jay-Z and Kanye West song, 'No Church In The Wild.' And Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann apparently is a massive Hova fan.

"On my first day he had Jay-Z pumped up full, and we did the entire scene with ... Jay-Z in our ear on full blast while acting," Isla Fisher, who plays Myrtle Wilson in the film, told MTV News.

And speaking of Kanye, the second 'Watch The Throne' album is due to arrive this year, also. And there's always the possibilty that the Hova will release a new studio album, which would be his first since 2009's 'The Blueprint 3.'

Whew. We're already tired just thinking about all of this. So, what are your plans for 2013?
