A Northern California staple since 1991, the Sea Otter Classic hosts the finest in cycling competition in beautiful Monterey every spring. The 22nd Sea Otter Classic went down over the weekend in front of 50,000 fans, with Jill Kintner collecting big victories in the women’s Dual Slalom and Downhill events.
The Dual Slalom win was Kintner’s third consecutive at the event. “I have never had the full sweep at Sea Otter,” said Kintner, “so this year [it was] really special to be able to tick that goal off my list!”
Söderström Kills as Well
Elsewhere at the event, Sweden’s Martin Söderström took top honors in the Speed & Style event with a big 360 tailwhip after a full-throttle lap around the course. He wasn't finished there, however, adding wins in the bunnyhop contest and the Rain or Shine Jump Jam.
