Jump4Heroes is the name of the Royal British Legion Extreme Human Flight Team. Its three members recently headed via helicopter to the north face of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps in a tribute to the British Armed Forces.
The team -- Warrant Officer Spencer Hogg, Sergeant Deane Smith and Major Alastair Macartney -- are all veterans of the Afghanistan War. Upon reaching the launch point, the Jump4Heroes team bowed their heads for two minutes of silence in memorium to all service men and women. Then they jumped.
Reaching speeds of up to 130 mph, the team, with Hogg flying point, descended in tight formation in a dream line down one of the most famous mountain faces in Europe. Enjoy!
