While preparing for the 2012 Supercross series opener in Anaheim, California on January 7, Red Bull KTM factory team rider Ken Roczen broke his left arm in a practice crash.

After going down hard at the KTM test track in Corona, California, Roczen was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility where it was decided he would need to undergo immediate surgery to repair the break, after which he blessed the Twitter world with some pretty gory photos.

With Anaheim 1 right around the corner, Red Bull KTM Team Manager Roger DeCoster still has Ryan Dungey set to compete in the Supercross-class aboard his potent 450 SX-F and flying Frenchman Marvin Musquin will be mounted on the factory 250 SX-F to do battle in the West Coast Lites series.

As for Roczen, his fans will have to wait until the kickoff of the Supercross Lites East Championship Series on February 18th in Dallas, which gives the newly-crowned MX2 World Champion nearly two months to recover.

Here’s to a speedy recovery, Kenny!
