David Byrne & St. Vincent Release Second "Love This Giant" Single
Last month, David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Annie Clark (better known as St. Vincent) announced their collaborative effort, an album due September 11 via 4AD called “Love This Giant." The first single was "Who," a catchy song with a steady beat and funky horn-driven hook -- actually reminiscent of the Talking Heads. We’ve got a second single off the LP, the funky masterpiece “Weekend In The Dust.” Listen via the duo’s website, where you can also pre-order the upcoming album and see dates for a fall tour.
Animal Collective Get Wild On New Single
Like the rest of you indie weirdos, we fell in love with Animal Collective’s phenomenal 2009 release “Merriweather Post Pavillion.” And it seems the Baltimore-based group is sticking to those sonically bizarre roots on their upcoming release “Centipede Hz.” The first single from their latest long player is entitled “Today’s Supernatural.” Listen below.
Antibalas Stream New Album In Full
Brooklyn’s premiere funk activists Antibalas haven’t released in album in over five years, but on August 7, they’ll drop their self-titled effort. The whole thing is streaming over at Rolling Stone.
