Over the weekend, the last qualifier event for the Red Bull King of the Rock 2011 tournament jumped off in Oakland's Mosswood Park. The area's most talented streetball hopefuls, as well as a few players who'd traveled from out of state, duked it out for the last chance to make it to The Rock.

The four best players in Oakland would land the last four available spots of the 64 finalists heading to the Yard next weekend. The weather was picture perfect and the participants warmed up to DJ Vinroc working the wheels of steel in the Red Bull MXT.

After hours of fierce competition, Salinas native Darroll Phillips persevered and earned the first-place title. He'll represent Oakland with fellow winning ballers Tommy Gard of San Jose, California, Jeffrey Kidwell of Aspen, Colorado and Kris Gibbs-Smith of Alameda, California.

Who'll be this year's King of the Rock? Watch the World Finals live online on the Red Bull King of the Rock web site on Saturday, September 24th at 9:55pm (PST) to find out!
