The Red Bull Nitro Circus Live show is a new, action-packed traveling show that evolved from the successful TV show that aired for two full seasons on MTV. Led by Travis Pastrana, Nitro Circus Live will be making its first North American appearance in a special performance on June 4 in Las Vegas.
Much like their earlier videos and the show, Nitro Circus Live will feature never-before-seen tricks and mind-blowing stunts and antics, all performed on dirt bikes, BMX bikes, skateboards, golf carts, big wheels, and whatever else the Nitro Circus crew can strap some wheels on, over a massive jump ramp called Giganta!
“After two successful tours in Australia, I’m really looking forward to bringing the show here to our home soil and putting on an amazing show for our fans in the U.S.!” said Pastrana. For one special night only, the Nitro Circus Live crew will be performing inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena and attempting 10 world record firsts, all in the same night.
Among the already insane Nitro Circus rider lineup, they’ve enlisted help from some of the best action sports athletes in the world to help them take on these world record feats.
Nitro Circus Live Lineup
Expected to participate are skateboarders Bob Burnquist, Jake Brown and Lyn-Z Adams; FMX riders Cam Sinclair, Levi Sherwood, Jarryd Mcneil, Clint Moore and Rob Adelberg; and BMX riders Andy Buckworth, Matt Wyatt and Chad Kagy.
“Vegas is going to be crazy! Everybody is looking to step up big time and put on a performance that really represents what Nitro Circus Live is all about,” said “Special” Greg Powell, who recently stunned the world by pulling the first ever “Special Flip” on a BMX bike during a show in Australia.
“I was fortunate enough to ride on the Nitro Circus tour down under and I had a blast," said Sherwood, current X Games FMX silver medalist. "The show and crowds were insane so I am stoked to be a part of their first-ever U.S. show and ride alongside such great athletes.”
“This should be extra nuts since we now have a ramp similar to the Giganta Ramp used in the TV shows that Nate Wessel built at Pastrana’s house,” said X Games BMX Big Air gold medalist Chad Kagy. “You would be smart to pick up some tickets to come see the crew throw down some insane stunts!”
