Pedro Barros cheers at the Wellington Bowl-A-Rama in New Zealand David Read/Red Bull Media House North America, Inc.

The bowl skateboarding season is well underway, and it’s 16-year-old Brazilian Pedro Barros who’s making major moves as he’s skated every bowl he’s faced with a vengeance.

Named the World Cup Skateboarding #1 bowl skater for 2011, Barros started his 2012 winning streak at the Wellington Bowl-A-Rama in New Zealand (video below). A week later, he won the Pro Beach Bowl contest at the Australian Open of Surfing. He rounded off February by winning the Pro Division of the eighth Vans Bondi Bowl-A-Rama.

Thousands were in the stands and around the bowl on Bondi Beach and even more watched via live webcast as Pedro showed his need for speed and crushed the entire bowl. From killing the tight corner to huge 540 variations, alley-oop frontside 50-50 grinds and insane frontside airs, he showed why this was his third consecutive win there. His consistency made him really tough to beat.

Equally as impressive was legendary skateboarder Steve Caballero. Experience, consistency and a style all his own took Cab to his fifth consecutive Masters title.

From the Masters Division, Rob “Sluggo” Boyce took the Best Trick honors.
