Pedro Barros skating his backyard bowl in Florianopolis, Brazil Helge Tscharn/Red Bull Content Pool

What’s better than taking the two Bowl-A-Rama titles in Wellington, New Zealand and Bondi Beach, Australia as a 14 year old? Coming back as a 15 year old and successfully defending both titles, which is exactly what bowl skating phenom Pedro Barros did this month.

The Brazilian skater and 2010 X Games Park gold medalist trumped some of the biggest names in the game once again, securing back-to-back wins in successive weekends down under. He took down legendary skaters like Rune Glifberg, Bucky Lasek and Bob Burnquist, slashing around the bowl like a natural.

Obviously, Pedro showed crazy talent at a young age, and the bowl in his backyard in Florianopolis certainly isn’t hurting anything. He’s started off 2011 on the right foot; look for more killer skating from him for the rest of the year.
