Universal Sports has announced that it will air its first-ever “Adventure Week”, with special adventure sports programming which includes the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series.

Beginning Monday, October 11, at 8:00 p.m. ET and running for six hours nightly in primetime through Sunday, October 17, “Adventure Week” programs premiering during the week on Universal Sports will include competitions and documentaries encompassing such unique sports as cliff diving, kayaking, mountain climbing and adventure racing. The shows will take viewers to exotic destinations all over the world and include some special domestic locations as well. In addition to the television programming, UniversalSports.com will present episodes of the World Adventure Series and Red Bull Cliff Diving shows for on-demand viewing.

“Adventure Week” will include the following programs:

“Red Bull Cliff Diving Series”: The world’s best high divers participate in six challenging competitions from a height of 26 meters. A selection of famous and well-known diving spots, as well as extraordinary and challenging venues, have been chosen.

“The North Face Expedition Series”: Extreme rock climbers face treacherous situations as they make their way through Meru, India, and Tawoche, Nepal.
Air Dates and Times: Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET and Oct. 16 at 1 a.m. ET

“Everest Rocks”: This documentary highlights rock music stars who team up with a group of cancer survivors on a two-week journey. The two groups climb more than 19,000 feet while performing along the way, including one special concert at the highest point ever recorded.

“Paddle to Seattle”: In this documentary, two friends embark on a kayaking journey from Alaska to Seattle in which they paddle 1,200 miles in 97 days.

“Pedal to the Midnight Sun”: Two friends document a long-distance cycling journey through Alaska in which they pedal 1,300 miles coast to coast.

“Pangaea Sailing Expedition”: In this sailing expedition, South African explorer Mike Horn takes young explorers on journeys to teach them more about nature in an effort to help save the planet.
Air Dates and Times: Oct. 13 at 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. ET, Oct. 14 at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET and Oct. 16 at 12 a.m. ET.

“Kilimanjaro for Hope”: A group of 28 novice hikers hoping to raise money for underprivileged children sets out to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.

“World of Adventure Sports”: This variety show highlights different adventure sports ranging from adventure racing to surfing to snowboarding.

“Primal Quest Series”: In this adventure race competition throughout Montana, teams of four travel over 500 miles on foot, kayak and bike to their final destination.

“Facing East”: A group of explorers kayak their way down China’s Yangtze River before it was transformed into reservoirs.

“Vertical Frontier Documentary”: This documentary highlights the history of rock climbing in Yosemite National Park.
