Red Bull pilots from across the globe came down from the skies to mix and mingle with the likes of John Travolta, Harrison Ford, Buzz Aldrin, Kurt Russell, and Tom Selleck. It was all part of the 8th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards at the famed Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Callifornia.
In attendance at what is often referred to as the “Academy Awards of Aviation,” Chuck Aaron, Red Bull’s American aerobatic helicopter pilot was in jovial spirits alongside the Team Captain of the Red Bull Air Force, Jon DeVore, both joined by their wives.
Two Red Bull Air Race pilots, Kirby Chambliss and Matthias Dolderer enjoyed mingling with Astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell, not to mention supersonic aerospace hero Bob Hoover.
The Living Legends of Aviation Awards is a prestigious black tie awards gala in which the Legends of Aviation honor significant contributions to aviation. The Legends event is produced by the Kiddie Hawk Air Academy, a non-profit organization that introduces children to aviation.
