Red Bull teamed up with Snowboarder Magazine for the 2011 Launch event, which is a four-day affair featuring the best riders under the age of 18. Riders converged on Park City from around the globe on April 5-8 to session the massive, custom park complete with jib features, a tree gap, channel gap, huge step-down and massive hip.
While there were many standout riders at the Launch, Red Bull riders Sebastien Toutant and Hans Mindnich rode incredibly all week, slaughtering the jump line and hip. Seb's most technical trick was a double cork 1260 off the step-down, but his methods off the hip were jaw dropping. Hans also boosted a couple of the biggest backside airs off the hip, topping 25 feet.
Day two of the Launch had great weather, so the Red Bull heli came out for an evening session. Seb and Hans lapped the park until the sun went down; the photo shoot was epic as the riders were chased by the heli, and the footage supplied by Snowboarder Mag is fantastic.
