Of Gentlemen and Cowards on Late Show With David Letterman

Of Gentlemen and Cowards, the Canadian band that won the Red Bull Soundstage 'We Made This Movie' contest, serenaded the 'Late Show With David Letterman' last night with their ballad, 'Save Me.'

The band pretty much came out of nowhere -- their Twitter feed still only shows 330-some followers -- to win the contest. Prior to hitting the Ed Sullivan Theater, Of Gentlemen and Cowards were playing coffeehouses and house parties.

After being notified of winning, guitarist Christian Fedele said the band from Hamilton, Canada, ran "up and down the street while shouting in a pseudo-manic manner."

The song will appear in the independent film 'We Made This Movie,' which was directed by Rob Burnett, who is also the executive producer of 'Late Show.' The movie is a coming-of-age story centered on a group of teenage friends who decide to make a movie about themselves making a movie and hitting it big.

Burnett scored the movie, which premieres Thursday and can be viewed via livestream -- with songs by the emerging artists on Red Bull Soundstage.

"[It] could be really exciting -- to get people just like the main character [to do the music]," he said. "Find undiscovered talent and get awesome original music for our movie.”

Whether the band Of Gentlemen and Cowards will hit it big after their huge TV debut is up in the air. But they ain't doing too bad. They can cross David Letterman off the bucket list, and that's more than 99.9 percent of us can say.
