On Saturday August 6th, the 2011 Red Bull King of the Rock Cleveland qualifier went down in Akron's legendary Perkins Park. Hundreds gathered to watch the intense competition as Ohio's top streetballers went head to head. The lineup included former college athletes and local celebrities, all eager to go to Alcatraz next month and hopefully get their hands on the crown.

The final game of the event was between Akron native Jackie Adams and Jimmy Conyers, a 6' 5" former forward for the University of Akron Zips. When it was all said and done, Conyers couldn't match Adams' prowess, and the hometown hero took the game with a clean 11-0 sweep. Both players will appear at the world finals on September 24th. Will this year's Red Bull King of the Rock be from the Buckeye State? Only time will tell…
