Hey Rosetta Hits the Festivals
Hey Rosetta! are spending the summer on the festival circuit and they couldn't be any happier. While the Canadian indie rockers are slated to perform many of the tracks off their recently released album “Seeds,” they also plan to premiere three new songs they've been perfecting at this weekend's Hangout Music Fest at Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Tim Baker, the group's frontman, said in an interview that the new songs are “seeded to the celebratory vibe of a festival. They are kinda fast-paced and kinda poppy, and not as dark as a lot of the stuff we have. We're all pretty damn excited about them and excited to play them out in the sun.”
Coachella: Bye 2012, Hello 2013
The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival might have just ended, but its organizers aren't wasting anytime in setting up next year's event. The 2013 edition of the festival will take place from April 12 to April 14 and again from April 19 to April 21 in Indio, California. This time, the price of the tickets will reflect all fees, and advanced passes are on sale through Thursday, May 24. General admission goes on sale early next year. (coachella.com). Just as it did last year, both weekends will feature the same lineup. No word as to whether or not a hologram Kurt Cobain or Jimi Hendrix will grace the stage.
Make Do and Mend Get Lucky
Make Do And Mend have a little luck on their side. The rock band from Boston have unveiled their music video for “Lucky.” Serving as the leadoff single for their forthcoming sophomore album “Everything You Ever Loved,” set to drop June 19, the video features the four-piece performing the no-nonsense track inside an abandoned building.
