If you're anywhere near the Brooklyn area and you're looking for an awesome way to kick off your weekend of Halloween festivities, make your way down to Newtown Barge Park on Friday at 5:00 p.m. to catch some of the world's best BMX street riders annihilating a collection of custom-built, Halloween-themed rails and grind boxes.

Originally scheduled for October 29, the event was moved up a day due to the less-than-favorable weather forecast for this Saturday. So get your partying started at the park on Friday and free up your costumed self for Saturday's loft/warehouse/bar parties.

Hosted by Red Bull BMX athlete and street-riding legend Edwin De La Rosa, the event will feature riders from several continents, "treats" for the fans and good times aplenty. Get all the event info right here. See you Friday night, and Happy Halloween!
