'Madden' Player Ratings Subject to Vote

Think Michael Vick is the most blazing running QB in the league or that Drew Brees has the best arm? Well, EA Sports is finally giving gamers a chance to do something about it and influence the ratings in "Madden '13."

They've started a Facebook campaign this week that allows fans to vote on which players will receive the maximum rating for a specific trait. Wednesday's poll, for example, asked gamers which quarterback should have the best deep-ball accuracy rating in the league with three options: Aaron Rodgers of the Packers, Eli Manning of the Giants or Tony Romo of the Cowboys (Rodgers is running away with the vote, no surprise).

This week will focus on QB ratings, but the following weeks will focus on running backs, wide receivers and defenders, with the winners in each category announced every Friday.

In addition, Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk will be hosting weekly videos on the EA Sports YouTube page revealing the top-10 rated players at each position. Here's a look at the top-10 rated QBs in 'Madden NFL 13':

1 Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers (99)
2 Tom Brady, New England Patriots (98)
3 Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints (98)
4 Eli Manning, New York Giants (97)
5 Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers (95)
6 Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos (93)
7 Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers (92)
8 Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions (91)
9 Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys (90)
10 Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles (89)

It's hard to disagree with too many of them, even though you have to wonder how Peyton Manning feels about being below his little bro.

"Best of" James Bond Game on the Way

When you think All-Star games, pro sports exhibitions or reality show specials usually come to mind, but Activision is preparing a James Bond All-Star extravaganza in the form of the upcoming "007 Legends." The game promises an original, overarching storyline that ties together five classic Bond movie-inspired missions, plus a downloadable sixth mission based on the upcoming movie "Skyfall" (the 23rd Bond film and the third starring Daniel Craig as 007).

As with the feature films, "007 Legends" promises to equip players with state-of-the-art spy gadgets, an arsenal of weapons and sleek vehicles as they jet off to exotic locations and utilize Bond's quick wits, class and style to take down notorious villains and their brutal henchmen and perform impressive stunts.

The game will also do it with top-level talent from the movies. Craig is playing Bond and Richard Kiel and Michael Lonsdale will lend both their likenesses and voices to the roles of villains Jaws and Hugo Drax, both characters from the 1979 classic film "Moonraker" -- one of the Bond movies that the game revisits. Naomie Harris, the Bond girl from "Skyfall," will also make an appearance.

"007 Legends" hits PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 16.

Inside Look at New "Aliens" Games

The movie "Prometheus" acted as a prequel to all of the "Aliens" movies, but as Gearbox president Randy Pitchford explains in this new inside look at the upcoming "Aliens" video game, it will be a direct follow up to James Cameron's "Aliens." We're told that the game takes place 17 weeks after the conclusion of Cameron's film. The game also reportedly had input from director Ridley Scott, who revealed some concept art for his own ideas for a potential sequel.

But what about the third and fourth Aliens movies, you ask? Let’s just pretend they didn’t exist. After a long wait, “Aliens: Colonial Marines” finally launches February 12, 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, and at an unknown date for Wii U.
