Last night in Las Vegas, the epic new freeride mountain bike film ‘Where the Trail Ends’ premiered at The Pearl Theater at Palms Casino Resort with an all-star cast of freeride’s finest in attendance.
The film, which documents a small crew of riders on their worldwide search for the best mountain bike terrain, will be available September 21 via iTunes or a 3-in-1 Collector’s Edition (DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download). A limited-edition journal book and other merchandise are also available.
The Las Vegas screening, including both the film and the red-carpet interviews conducted by Sal Masekela and Richie Schley, was broadcast live online. If you missed it, the entire live stream is available on demand for an additional 24 hours (the original stream started at 8:30 p.m. PST).
“We’ve done a lot of films through the years; this one was a long time coming,” said rider Darren Berrecloth on the red carpet. “It was definitely a big push -- we had to deal with a lot of stuff -- hiking, camping, not being able to have a shower -- it was a big ordeal, a tough gig. We’ve always tried to push the envelope and we really had to dig deep as riders.”
"We made the film we wanted to make and we’re really excited about people seeing it,” added director Jeremy Grant. “We’ve told a story that’s never been told before."
