Brooklyn Flea Record Fair: A Red Bull Music Academy Special
The Brooklyn Flea Market’s Record Fair is a new New York institution: a treasure trove for vinyl fiends, a land of milk and honey for foodies, and a beloved hangout for regular revelers alike. This is why we touch down at Smorgasburg in Williamsburg with some of our participants soundtracking the goings-on alongside local staples DJ/rupture (Dutty Artz), Veronica Vasicka (Minimal Wave), Dean Bein (True Panther), and James Friedman (Throne Of Blood). Labels like DFA, Modular, Mexican Summer, Secretly Canadian and Ghostly International will be on site too to spread the gospel and sell quality music, out-the-trunk style. In brief, this is pretty much the best way we can think of to while away a Saturday afternoon.
