One-Hit Half Pipe Free Ski Contest

Red Bull Super Hit is a free ski pipe contest unlike any other, pushing the limits of what is possible in the world of half pipe skiing. In a typical half pipe event, competitors play it safe in order to assemble a top-to-bottom run, holding back on their biggest moves in favor of consistency. At Red Bull Super Hit, skiers will throw everything they have into their first hit, blasting their highest air or their most technical dream trick when they’re at their freshest and strongest.

Red Bull Super Hit takes off at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania, home to the half pipe that earned number one East Coast Pipe honors in TransWorld Snowboarding Magazine’s 2010 Resort Poll. The action goes down March 20th with the competition starting at 12 p.m.

The top skier at Red Bull Super Hit will score a trip to the Dumont Cup the following weekend. The Dumont Cup is a Pro/Am competition hosted by Red Bull athlete, and world-renowned free skier, Simon Dumont, and is being held at Sunday River in Maine’s Mahoosuc Mountains. In addition to paid travel and lodging, the winner will qualify straight into the Semifinal of the Dumont Cup, bypassing the qualifying rounds that will cut the field down from 150 to 40.
