Red Bull Mapa De Los Muertos celebrates El Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) which is celebrated throughout Latin America, mostly in Mexico. This event will serve as a guide for die-hard revelers to celebrate The Day of the Dead with live music, art, and special performances.
People celebrate by creating altars with ofrendas, or offerings to the dead. These offerings are usually for deceased loved ones and it includes favorite foods and drinks, clothing, and photographs. Although the holiday is about the dead, it's not a somber occassion. In fact, the celebraton should be full of life, food, family, music, and fun.
Four of San Antonio’s best local bands come together on November 5 to pay homage to Dia de los Muertos, a cultural spectacle regarded as one of the city’s most celebrated holidays.
Each band taking part in the event will be playing a different venue in Southtown at a different time, so fans can follow a map from one venue to another, making it possible to see every band live.
