About this Image: Jody Morris: "Every city in the world seems to have a skateboarding epicentre, the spot where it all started or the scene’s main hub. Philly had Love Park, San Francisco had the Embarcadero, there was New Spot in Vancouver and so on. 23yG is that place for those in Havana. Named after its cross streets, the spot is a small park on the corner of a busy roads. Three kerb-high levels with wooden benches, not the best spot in the area, yet it serves as the meet-up spot for the locals. The name 23yG has been adopted both for the name of the local crew and also as the basis for the hand-painted graphics that adorn Che's boards and walls."
