About Louie
Snowboarder Louie Vito’s 2010-11 season wasn’t just the best of his career -- some say it was one of the best seasons of any snowboarder, ever. Between the 2010 Olympics and autumn 2011, Louie managed the unheard-of feat of earning podium positions in 12 of the world’s 14 major snowboarding contests, including three consecutive X Games medals, the overall championship for the Winter Action Sports Tour, and the overall championship in the U.S. Grand Prix (the third of his career).
After appearing on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2009 and in the body issue of “ESPN The Magazine” in 2011, the snowboard star from Ohio is also familiar to millions outside the sport. With a new training regimen designed to take his audacious skills even higher, Louie is charging harder than ever, and it’s possible that he’ll find more fans yet at the next Winter Olympics.
