Sarka's Details
About Sarka
This Czech snowboarder learned her trade on the slopes at Morava Pico and dominated numerous events in her homeland before victories in both the 2008 Quiksilver Snowjam and Protest World Rookie Fest sent her profile sky-high.
The sponsors soon came calling and a summer of training in New Zealand paid dividends as she also bagged the Pleasure Jam slopestyle title on her return to the Northern Hemisphere with a run which included a switch backside 180 and smooth backside 720. Not content with that Sarka also scooped two Europa League halfpipe crowns and finished ninth in the World Championships.
In the '09/'10 season Sarka juggled her TTR schedule with a trip to Vancouver for the Winter Olympics, where she finished in 14th place. Her fifth place in the Roxy Chicken Jam Slopestyle, the final 6Star event for women in '09/'10, and an eighth place at the Burton U.S. Open Slopestyle pushed Sarka into the final TTR Top 3, one step closer to her goal of becoming TTR World Champion one day.
Sarka was voted Snowboarder Magazine's Rookie Of The Year in 2010 and with veteran shredders like Tina Ramholt and Martin Cernik firmly in her corner offering help and advice, expect even bigger things to come from this stylish and dedicated shredder.
