Kayak icon Steve Fisher and a team of the bravest and most talented paddlers on earth tackle a first descent of the Inga Rapids in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo for the epic film “CONGO: The Grand Inga Project.”

The Inga Rapids are a deadly stretch of whitewater and the world’s highest-volume rapids. With over 1.6 million cubic feet of water thundering down the rapids per second, the Inga Rapids are twice as steep and 30 times larger than those found on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon.

Hot on the heels of a successful, sold-out premiere in Salt Lake City in early August, “CONGO: The Grand Inga Project” now comes to the rest of the world on Friday, August 24, when it’s released on Blu-ray™, DVD and iTunes.
