About this Video: Murs and his group 3MG, which includes Eligh and Scarub, kicked off the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's very first hip-hop concert series, called "Through The Mic: LACMA X Hip Hop." Every third Thursday of the month until October 2012, the series will present emerging and experimental L.A. hip-hop artists. In this video, Murs, who helped organized the series, talks about how it all came together.

The series continues on June 21, with a performance by Dumbfoundead with Medusa and Gizzle. Concert-goers will also have late-night, private access to the contemporary art galleries after each performance finishes.
