- About this Video
- Red Bull Racing launched the RB9 on Sunday at the team's factory in Milton Keynes, England. The new F1 car was the culmination of a busy offseason, which you can witness -- albeit in stylized fashion -- in the short video below.
Go behind the Red Bull Racing factory doors and see the new RB9, starting from chief technical officer Adrian Newey's drawing board to the computer to rapid prototyping to the wind tunnel and finally in the photography studio.
For Formula One geeks -- no matter who you're pulling for -- it's three and a half minutes of heaven (especially the gearshift assembly -- amazing). For the average viewer, the video breaks down the high-tech process into a clever musical edit.
On Tuesday, the team, defending drivers' champion Sebastian Vettel and teammate Mark Webber will hit the test track for the first time in 2013. The countdown begins on the team's quest for their fourth straight Formula One championship.
