Red Bull Soapbox Race made its debut in the Lone Star State with an impressive array of hand-made gravity machines, with many blazing through the course and sailing over the jumps while some shed components on the way down and the rest barely made it past the starting hill. Out of the 40 teams that competed from across the country, four prevailed: Oregon Trail took the top spot with Da Vegas Bomb and The Users close behind, while Team Mutt Cutts earned the People's Choice Award.
Not to be confused with the youth soapbox derby, Red Bull Soapbox Race is a national race for amateur drivers, which is fueled by creativity and competitive fun - not to mention the need for speed....
