In 2006, the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix returns!
This season, there are new faces in the series and old faces on new teams. Two-time defending 250cc world champion Dani Pedrosa of Spain has joined Hayden on the factory Repsol Honda team in the premier class. American John Hopkins now has the reins as Suzuki?s lead rider and is teamed up with Aussie rookie Chris Vermeulen. Perennial challenger Sete Gibernau has moved from Honda to Ducati, joining 2005 double race winner Loris Capirossi. Hopkins? former teammate, 2000 world champion Kenny Roberts, Jr., is riding for his legendary father?s team this season.
MotoGP is the Formula One of motorcycle racing. Crowds of more than 120,000 gather at stops around the world to witness the most advanced two-wheel machines in the world reach speeds of more than 215 mph. Meanwhile, an average audience of more than 325 million viewers watches each race on televisions all over the globe.
The 2006 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix promises to again be the greatest show on two wheels in America.
