The Red Bull on the Move crew returns to cover the wild mad cap parties of Miami’s Winter Music Conference 2008.In its 23rd year, the Winter Music Conference represents over 60 countries where the world’s top DJ’s, Artists, Promoters, Media and Manufacturers gather to show off their skills, new releases and new technologies.
We ran hard, made lots of moofs and sleep was put on the back burner so we could bring it straight to you Live interviews and live sets events that took place at all times of the day and night.
This year we hit up the Pawnshop, Karu Y for OM, Shellborne Hotel, King Street’s Anniversary Party, Co-Op at Jasmine, and our coverage of the Beatport Stage at the Remix Hotel.
This week come to you from our headquarters for the week at the National for the Remix Hotel. We had our own Red Bull on the Move suite located near the Beatport stage where we were able to set up camp and interview DJ’s and hang with friends and family while enjoying a few cocktails and guitar hero.
Start if off this week with one of the Deep House Songsmith’s" Roland Clark. A vocalist, producer and songwriter who has remixed and appeared on countless house anthems. From the classics such as “Flowerz” to “I Get Deep” to more recent gems such as “Save Me” and “”See the Light”.
He is not only a songwriter but a beat poet collaborating with the likes of Todd Terry, Kenny Dope, Sandy Rivera, Meat Katie, and Terry Hunter to name a few. His vocals on “Song for Shelter” converted the unconverted and he has seen success with the track “Running on Sunshine” which was featured on Grey’s Anatomy.

We keep it going with our coverage of the Remix Hotel from our Red Bull suite with one of the people who helped to define New York’s house music scene, Todd Terry.
Todd Terry’s production has been described as a varied collection of samples blending the sounds of classic disco, to the more introspective Chicago sound with plenty of hip-hop attitude and sampling piracy.
Two of the most prolific house music crossover tracks have come from Toddy Terry, “I’ll House You” by the Jungle Brothers and “Missing” by Everything but the Girl.
He has had Top-10 Hits in the UK with “Something Goin’ On” and “Keep on Jumpin”. He has collaborated with vocalists Jocelyn Brown, Martha Wash and Shannon for the 1997 hit “It’s Over Love”. In 1999 Todd released ‘Resolutions’ which embraced the early Drum-N-Bass aestethics and has several aliases such as Swan Lake, Orange Lemon, Royal House and Black Riot, Gypsymen, and the moniker Masters at Work given to Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez and “Little” Louie Vega came from Todd himself.

He has released on Sony, Strictly, Nervous and remixed for Vicki Sue Robinson, Prema and Strafe. In 1998 Kevin Kevin was featured on Billboard Magazine for his remix of “Hit the Groove” which was featured on the independent film, “Hang the DJ”.
Kevin Kevin has also been hard at work on his own imprint, So-Lifted Recordings which he launched in 2004. He has produced tracks on the label with Todd Terry, Nicola Torriero, DJ Rooster and Sammy Peralta.
Currently he is working on his own genre of dance,’Progressive Disco’ which he hopes will spark a new and much needed variety of sound into the dance world.
