VERT
UPDATE: WHITE IS THE NEW GOLD
In vert, Shaun White has been tearing it up since the snow melted. He was looking to make a statement at X, and his gold medal proves to everyone that he's just as dangerous in the summer as he is in the winter. After watching fall after fall in the unique X Games vert ramp, Shaun completed a flawless run on his last try, securing the gold. We didn't get to see the 1080 this year, but we're already getting teased that it's coming at X14! Nothing like getting one monkey on your back just to have something like the 1080 loaded right back on... Congrats Shaun!

STREET
UPDATE: BEST EVER STREET SESSION, SHECKS 4th
As for the Street comp, Ryan Sheckler just missed the podium (placing 4th) in one of the most insane comps ever seen. Never-before-landed tricks went down, and the pace was blistering, with competitors sprinting back and forth to throw down as many tricks as possible. Personally, I thought Sheckler had at least the bronze (he was in 2nd going into the 3rd and last Finals session), but pretyy much every skater in the finals deserves mad props for being part of the best ever X Games street session.
