(Sept. 12th, 2007 / Santa Monica, CA) Tanner Hall threw an exclusive screening party for "Believe", his latest ski film, at Red Bull’s headquarters. The party was packed with a “who’s who” in the ski world, including the stars of the film...

Tanner, Seth Morrison, Kye Petersen, CR Johnson, and Sean and Callum Pettit all played host to crews from Oakley, Armada and more. Even big wave surfer Ian Walsh and snowboarding personality the Dingo dropped by to catch a glimpse of the new film.

And as a special surprise, Red Bull flew in Tanner’s favorite reggae DJ duo, Kya Bamba, all the way from Switzerland just for the special occasion. So after a couple hours of socializing and the usual party hijinks, the crowd made their way into the screening room to watch the main event of the night - the film.

"Believe" is the latest effort from Tanner and director Constantine "CP" Papanicolaou, and it's a crazy one, taking some of the world's best freestyle skiers out of the park and into some incredible, deep-pow conditions and challenging terrain.

"The one thing that we tried to do differently with Believe is to take skiing back to the mountains," says Tanner. "The last thing that my friends and I want is for skiing to imitate anything else, and the way to do that is to ski real mountains, take it back to the roots. I love skiing halfpipe, but we really wanted to show the young kids that there's something different out there outside of the park, and we all love to do it."

In the film, Tanner is joined by good friends Seth Morrison, Kye Petersen, CR Johnson, Ian Provo, Anthony Boronowski, and Sean and Callum Pettit as they bury themselves in powder on Mt. Baker, cut lines through Retallack, Whistler, and Mica Creek in B.C., take a quick trip to Japan, and head up to Haines, Alaska for some epic sessions.

"Believe" marks another collaboration between Tanner and CP, whose style is evolving with Tanner's with each film he directs. "I'm interested in narrative stuff," he says. "It's pretty easy to just film skiing, so I don’t really need to spend much time thinking about that anymore." Instead, he says he focuses on location shots to effectively set up each segment of the film. His favorite part of "Believe" is the intro to the Alaska section, which features images of the guys flying in and a story setting the tone of the adventure they're about to undertake.

By contrast, Tanner's favorite part covers the crazy pillow lines the crew discovers in Mica Creek. He says it's only going to get crazier in his next film, which they've already started.

So head out to your local shop or buy one HERE online - but be sure to pick up a copy of "Believe" today. You won’t be disappointed!
