No Surprise: Red Bull Athletes Rock

Our Guitar Hero 3 preview party brought out the action sports stars: Ryan Sheckler, Kevin Robinson, Daniel Dhers, Corey Bohan and more showed up. It turns out Guitar Hero is pretty much a favorite of our athletes, fans, sampling girls, their friends and just about anyone with a heartbeat!

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. And when life gives you and a bunch of athletes and industry folk hanging out in the uber-restrictive Salt Lake City for 5 days... you throw a party.

The older you get, the more you realize that the best party ingredients are the things you had in high school (OK maybe minus ONE ingredient):

- A hotel room

- Lots of friends

- Video games

- Food

- Girls

- More video games

and

- Way too many friends of friends.

Add in a fully stocked bar and this is exactly what went down at the Red Bull Guitar Hero party during the 4th stop of the AST Tour in Salt Lake.

In order to celebrate the upcoming release of Guitar Hero III, Red Bull offered athletes and friends a chance to preview the game a month early.

And if you've ever been around an athlete who is constantly on the road, in hotel rooms and tour buses...well then you'd know Guitar Hero is a obsession-worthy staple of many the pros' life.

Up on the 17th floor in the Presidential suite of the Hilton, the top guns of the tour were all there to take turns on the axe: Ryan Sheckler, Shaun White, Jereme Rogers, Greg Lutzka, Kevin Robinson, Daniel Dhers, Anthony Napolitan, Zach Warden.

Sheckler came minus the MTV cameras that have been
following him around non-stop, but did arrive with his A-game on, destroying opponents at GH left and right. Shirts were being ripped, Shaun White caused a near mosh pit upon his arrival, but Shecks kept his focus on
his furious multicolored notes.

Riders battled against fellow riders to see who had the most off-course skill. BMX Vert vet Kevin Robinson and his wife took their first crack at the game ever - and soon declared they needed to get it for their home. Even the ladies were playing the night away - and I'm pretty sure "Beautiful Girls" + Guitar Hero is many a gamer dude's vision of heaven.

It seems everyone in the state of Utah made an appearance that night (but really, what else would they have to do?). Good times were had, and we all can't wait to get our hands on more "III"!
