Adam Errington has been tearing up Oz for the last few weeks, taking part in Chris O'Shea's epic Pressure Cooker contest and showing up for the South Bank, Brisbane stop of the Australian Pro Tour of WakeBoarding where he landed in third place...
After tearing up the water in projects here in the US like Red Bull's BLACKOUT, 2007 Rookie of the year Adam Errington has been stirring things up and making an impact on the wakeboarding scene down in Australia.
Fresh off the plane, Adam showed up at the first stop of the Australian Pro Tour of WakeBoarding. It was easy to see that he made an amazing impression on the Aussie crowds that lined the South Bank of the Brisbane River to watch the competition.
And, Adam’s consistency and style also surely caught the attention of his competitors, as he worked his way through the contest field.
The Brisbane River is not know for its flat water, and the day of the finals were no different, with conditions getting the better of the usually super consistent Errington, when he came up against the 2006 Australian Pro Tour Champion, Dean Smith. Adam's efforts earned him a podium and a third placing literally hours after stepping off the plane.
Along with competing at two major contests, Adam is also in Australia promoting his board company Ronix, with fellow team rider Chad Sharpe. For the next two weeks , Adam will be touring around to the majority of Australia’s biggest cities, sharing his love for wake boarding.
PRESSURE COOKER
All this follows Adam's stop at the Pressure Cooker Contest, put on by Chris Oshea, one of Australia’s best free-riders. It took place about three hours south of Brisbane on one of Aus’s best wake boarding rivers, the Clarence River.
Over four days, Adam and eight other invited riders competed in a wake contest with a difference. The aim of competition was to best mimic how wake boarders would free ride, and at the end of the four days a Master would be crowned across the four divisions, Best Line, Straight Air, Spin’s and Flips.
The first day of the event was Best Line Master. Adam topped all the crew present to put together the most impressive tricks in succession with out any mistakes, leaving another positive mark on his tour down under.
