This year, there was a unique opportunity for anyone looking to showcase their Freestyle soccer prowess, and to get paid while strutting their stuff at events across the East Coast...

The New York Red Bulls have recruited the NY/NJ Metro area’s premier freestyle soccer talent for an elite Freestyle Soccer Team, due to hit the streets in March. This team will represent the Red Bulls at special events, tournaments, promotions, and other locations throughout the metro area and beyond, fueling the passion for the world’s favorite game.

In order to make the cut for this elite squad, candidates were first required to go head-to-head against their fellow freestylers at the Red Bull Fútbol de Calle preliminary tryouts in Manhattan, Queens and New Jersey. Candidates who made it through the first round then clashed in the ultimate freestyle soccer battle, the Red Bull Fútbol de Calle Finale in February. In front of a panel of esteemed judges, as well as an audience of up to 1,000 soccer fans, candidates were challenged to show the Red Bulls what they had.

Those demonstrating superior foot skills will be considered for the Red Bulls Freestyle Soccer Team, announced in March.
